Ancient History Writing Course
For students in grades 6 to 8
Also ideal for strong readers in grades 4 and 5
This 30-week writing course builds writing skills through the study of ancient civilizations. Students will explore fascinating people, places, and events from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, and beyond while learning to organize ideas, apply stylistic writing techniques, and write with structure and confidence.
Using Ancient History-Based Writing Lessons from the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW), students will complete structured assignments such as summaries, reports, and critiques, guided by IEW’s proven writing models.

Ms. Justyna enhances each lesson with additional historical content, helping students engage more deeply with the ancient world while developing rich, well-organized compositions.
