What is colored pencil drawing?
First, let’s briefly understand colored pencil drawing: it is a form of art that combines sketching theory and color theory, using colored pencils as the primary medium.

First Phase: Fundamental Skills and Practice
1. Colored Pencil Techniques and Practice

Learn the correct techniques for using colored pencils, focusing on linework, color blending, and gradient practice.
2. Color Theory and Practical Application

Study the basic properties of color to understand, feel, and express colors. Master the ability to use color effectively in colored pencil drawing, applying techniques for layering and blending.
3. Sketching Theory and Shape Construction

Learn and practice the eight commonly used methods for constructing shapes in drawing.
Second Phase: Still Life Drawing Practice (Three Pieces)
Objectives:

Learn the full process of creating a still life drawing: shaping → base coloring → enhancing (form, light and shadow, color) → detailing → adjustments.

Apply color theory through the creation of still life drawings in three primary color schemes:

Red Series Still Life – Drawing of an Apple

Yellow Series Still Life – Drawing of a Sunflower

Blue Series Still Life – Drawing of a Plum

Third Phase: Review and Independent Creation

Review key techniques, critique student work, and guide students in completing an independent creative piece under teacher supervision.
