About Course
Fables, Myths, and Fairy Tales Writing Course
For students in Grades 3–5
Also suitable for strong readers in Grade 2
Discover Classic Tales. Build Writing Skills. Inspire Creativity.
This 29-week writing course helps younger students grow as confident, structured writers while exploring timeless stories from around the world. Using Fables, Myths, and Fairy Tales Writing Lessons from the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW), students will write about clever animals, brave heroes, magical creatures, and valuable life lessons while learning to organize ideas, apply stylistic techniques, and develop strong paragraph writing skills.
Each week, students receive step-by-step instruction, practice with outlines and retelling, and feedback on their writing. They will learn how to take notes, use dress-ups and sentence openers, and write across multiple formats from story summaries to creative rewrites.
Taught by certified teacher Ms. Justyna, this course gently guides young writers while sparking imagination and building confidence.
