About Course

Level 1A Writing Course (Grades 3–5)

Build Confidence. Master Structure. Watch Writing Take Off.

This 24-week writing course is designed to help elementary students become confident, capable writers no matter their starting point. Using Structure and Style for Students: Level 1A from the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW), students learn to organize their thoughts, build strong sentences, and write structured paragraphs step by step.

Each week, students are introduced to a new writing skill through modeling, guided practice, and simple checklists. They will learn how to take notes, retell information, use stylistic writing techniques, and write across a variety of formats from short summaries to creative paragraphs.

Taught by certified teacher Ms. Justyna, this class provides gentle, consistent guidance and feedback to help students grow with confidence.
