Medieval History Writing Course
For students in grades 6 to 8
Also ideal for strong readers in grades 4 and 5
This 30-week writing course builds strong writing skills through the lens of medieval history. Students will write about knights, castles, Viking invasions, the Magna Carta, Joan of Arc, and key events from the Middle Ages while learning to organize ideas, apply stylistic techniques, and write with clarity and confidence.
Using Medieval History-Based Writing Lessons from the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW), students are guided through structured writing assignments such as summaries, research reports, and critiques.
