Week 8 – Reinforcing Structure with Expanded Word Choice

This week, students will continue practicing their three-paragraph retellings using a story outline. The focus remains on structure and style, with added emphasis on word choice. Students will be introduced to a new set of banned verbs and encouraged to replace them with stronger, more specific alternatives. They’ll continue applying stylistic techniques, proper formatting, and purposeful titles in their writing.
