Challenging Literature for Independent, Thoughtful Readers
This self-guided novel study program is designed for advanced readers in Grades 10–11 who are ready to engage with more complex literature and thought-provoking themes. The selected novels are widely respected in educational settings and explore issues such as war, censorship, political oppression, and moral conflict.
While all titles remain classroom-appropriate and free from explicit content, they are best suited for mature students capable of navigating serious subject matter with care. Each novel is presented through a structured reading plan with comprehension questions, text-based writing prompts, and a final essay assignment.
